* Per club by-laws, since we had an exact number of nominees for the number of seats on the board, no election was necessary.

* We welcome our new board members -- Shalom, Nina, Laurie and Len -- and thank some folks who have been at the core of the club since its inception, but are choosing to rotate off the board this year:

Dennis Sheffield, past president
John McDaniel, past president
Bruce Buchanan, long-time coordinator of our scholarship efforts

* Normally, the President-Elect moves up to the President position at the annual election. But because Ric took over as President mid-year, the by-laws allowed him to run for election in that position. Jeff Johnson chose to continue as President-Elect and, barring unforeseen circumstances, will take over as club president in 2010.
